At the heart of the Meeting Grounds grew the Spirit Flower, a symbol of unity. Its petals spiralled outward like ripples on a still river, reminding the people that every action, every story, every connection spreads across Country. The flower’s centre held the memory of ancestors, guiding the community with wisdom and strength.
Surrounding the Spirit Flower were pathways of movement and belonging the tracks of families travelling across Country to gather, celebrate, and share. These lines carried the footsteps of generations, weaving together the journeys of many into one shared story.
The white shapes in the centre represent the Elders, keepers of knowledge, standing strong and grounded. Their presence forms the core of the community, holding space for learning, healing, and cultural strength.
The blue spirals represent the clans and families, each unique yet connected. They bloom outward, showing how culture grows when people come together. The patterns between them reflect the land itself rivers, sandhills, winds, and the textures of Country that hold every story ever told.
“Gathering” is a reminder that no one walks alone. We meet, we share, we learn, and we carry each other forward. It celebrates unity, belonging, and the strength that comes from community standing together.
